It
all began by chance. After having
bought a candle kit to make
conventional candles as supplementary
Christmas gifts one year, an accident
helped Jerzy Madrzyk, born in Bytom,
Poland in 1946 and known to his
friends and family as Jurek, develop a
completely new kind of candle. While
pouring wax into the forms of the
candle kit, some wax was spilt and a
flat sheet formed. From that day Jerzy
Madrzyk experimented and developed
many new candles and methods of
production. Probably the most
significant development was the fixing
of the wick to the exterior of the
candle, which has never been done
before.
